Hey fellas

I hope everyone is doing great. I was curious if anyone has any recommendations on medieval Germany- circa first crusades through the late 17th century. I know Osprey does some books on the Landsknechts, which I would like to get, but I would love to read anything published in English about the beautiful castles and life in Medieval Germany.

Thanks

this is a tough era to nail down but I think this book: Alfred Haverkamp, *Medieval Germany 1056-1273 (*Oxford University Press, 1992). Might be a good place to start. You can also look for books on the Holy Roman Empire. I would also suggest looking for books on specific places like Rotenburg ob der Taube or Heidelberg etc. One of the places I would suggest starting is on Abebooks website. You are probably going to find a lot of books in German but there are usually English translations too.

Good Luck

Dave
