The film was black/white only. In addition, the version is different from what the director John Huston originally cut. Studio interference resulted in the film being cut to only 69 minutes in length and the narration was studio added, as well. Huston always thought the studio interference ruined his film. -- Al

Thanks Al, I haven't seen this film for such a long time. Thought I might add it to my dvd library. Remember when it was on every holiday, just like the Great Escape used to be !
