As the day wore on the beach now secured action moved inland, leaving the dead and wounded behind.

You have inspired me Steve to join you this week with these island battles. Andy has made lots of great sculpts to capture the mood for this series. Yours are coming thru thick and fast. Robin.

Hey Steve,
A WONDERFUL .. but terrible scene, if you get my meaning.

Your talent never ceases to amaze, a good rendition of a horrible event.

I just spent some of the day watching .. WWII PACIFIC: In color.

Sir, you nailed it!

Thanks Robin and I'm looking forward to seeing some more of your excellent dioramas.

Cheers Larry. Yes I get your meaning.
Rather than use the stretcher bears to carry the casualty in this scene, I thought they'd look right for Marines being a bit dazed from what they've gone through that day, searching for their buddies who fell in the hope of them being wounded but alive.
