I just thought I would pop on some images of some of the diverse range of really good quality 54mm gloss painted figures from the guys, Ian and Allan, in New Zealand who keep on producing what is a large range of well sculpted figures. Regal Enterprises and their Soldiers of the World cover everything from armies of various nations involved in the Great War, to the Norman Conquest and a marvellous selection for the Anglo Zulu Wars, French Foreign Legion and the Sudan Campaign. Not forgetting some super and rarely covered 'local interest' figures for the New Zealand Land Wars

Here are some of the images we have on our web site www.pierschristian.co.uk

We are the sole authorised importer and retailer of Regal Toy Soldiers here in the UK and are glad to say the lads figures are selling well and we are continually adding new images to our web site as new stock comes in. We have a growing number of loyal collectors for this range, not just in the UK, but many customers as far away as Greece. As we tell all of our customers who may look on the Regal web site, if we don't have the item in stock we'll have it made for you, and Ian and Allan are very good on their turn around times

What is nice about Regal is that they match up well to Trophy, Little Legion and Soldiers of the World for size and style..Michael

Your website photos of the SoW series are terrific. I collect SoW and love the Farley's artistry. Really outstanding examples of glossy toy soldiers. The brothers are very accommodating in allowing collectors to select individual figures to make up a set and also paint color selection. Below are two sets they are working on for me

Randy, you will love these sets. The Jodhpars are one of 4 Lancer regiments that I own from Regal. They are all gorgeous with superb glossy paint finishs. I have 2 sets to each regiment, the lancer set (3 lancers) and the command set (officer, buglar, NCO), making for 6 figures per regiment. I have the 39th K.O. Central India Horse, in Khaki; the 30th Lancers (Gordon's Horse) in dark green, and 1st Skinner's Horse in yellow. They are all quite striking in appearance. I believe you will be well pleased with them. -- Al

Those are wonderful looking figures. Do you have pix of Skinners Horse too?

I was just asking myself how these'd match up with Hiriart, too. They look very similar in the style of finish.

Prost!

Sorry for not replying earlier. I don't have any Skinners Horse at present, but I will have anything made to order. The guys in New Zealand are always surprising me when I ask if they do a certain era which is not on their website and they usually reply 'YEP, just not got around to making the sets yet'

I'm a painter - so not really interested in painted versions - but I've always admired their Toy Soldier sculpts. Could you enquire whether the brothers would sell me some castings, for me to have the pleasure of painting please???? Johnnybach

You can get unpainted versions of the Regal/SoW figures in plastic. They paint up very nicely

Here is a set painted by Obee

Thanks Randy - but I don't really like plastic at all. No offence to those who do collect and paint them - but I have tried them in the past - and I just don't like them. It's the metal castings that I would prefer - IF available. I would also prefer them, if they were to be available for purchase in the UK too, IF that were also possible. jb
