Regal or Imperial ACW? (1 Viewer)

Hi Brad,

I'm pretty sure its regal the bulk of Imperial Infantry are on oval or round bases that are thinner. There are some on square bases but by and large they are on round bases. However I am not an expert on Imperial Civil War sets so maybe one of the bigger Imperial Collectors will pop in and let us know for certain.

Thanks Dave. As one who knows nothing (or very little) about Regal or Imperial, I was wondering. Regardless, they look very nice. Have that very clean look.

It isnt an imperial figure ,Its a Regal their figures where chunkier
and slightly larger in appearance ,although as you have said they have that similar smooth style. [also as Dave has mentioned the square base rules it
out as imperial as all their figures have round bases] but regal had a few sets
in both round and square

Hi Brad,

I have to say that they are both very nice but for me Imperial rates higher. Although Regal does have some interesting NZ-centric sets that I would enjoy owning. But Imperial still is tops.

All the best

Dave

Brad , I would have to agree with Dave
For me Imperial is head and shoulders above Regal
[I did own a few regal figures at one point ]
Imperials figures are elegant for want of a better way
of describing their toy soldiers [naps especially] ,
where as regals figures while nicely painted just dont
have the same feeling of quality for me.

That is Regal. I have had several of those sets.

Rectangular bases and larger/bulky figure as opposed to an almost dainty feel Imperial have.

Regals are good matched with Trophy and other bulkier figures. Their flags were terrific - almost as good as Lobacks.

Good catch.
