I thank you for your service, and all of your relatives for their service. I lost my Uncle Joe, who died in the course of his 22nd mission in the B17 Rikki Tikki Tavi, bombing Berlin, on May 5, 1944. My grandfather, for whom I am named, served in the Great War, but, fortunately for me, survived to come back to the U.S. and raise a family (he had seven children, among whom my Uncle Leo served in WWII, and my Uncle Dominick, my father Joseph, and my Uncle Frank served during the Korean Conflict).
Rest assured that some of us will never forget.
