Last night I got inspired and put together this little video of two Collector Showcase sets I had repainted and weathered.

Michael (a.k.a. Kilted Vampire) did the StrumTiger and Mark Vuncannon (Build-A-Rama) did the Marder IIIM. I sold the Marder III some years ago but still have the StrumTiger.

IMO, Brian at CSC does an excellent job with his vehicles and armor. They're very detailed and great value for the money.

They're a little over-sized and many times looking like they're fresh off the factory assembly line. Therefore, I have them re-weathered and sometimes repainted.

I agree the vehicles often look brand new. The weathering makes a huge difference. Terrific work by Michel and Mark!

Carlos,

If I ever give up on finding the Honour Bound Gold version, I would want a weathered repaint of this Sturmtiger just like yours!:salute::

I have heaps of TCS vehicles, like they are slightly larger, makes them more substantial next to the 1/30 figures. Not overly fond of the green paint used, too bright. Would have liked mine weathered to give them just that bit more authentic look, but not to be. Robin.

Sorry for yet another scale question, but I only had one Collector Showcase AFV, it was a Tiger I and it was so much larger than the King and Country, that I decided to sell it on eBay. Are the Collector's Showcase AFV constant in scale, so this Sturmtiger will be as large as the Tiger I I had? Or do they vary by models?
TIA for your help...
Great job on the weathering/repaint BTW!

The first TCS Tiger 1 in 2009 was 1/30 scale. Starting with the Stug the scale increased to 1/28; which works very realistically with TCS, TG and K&C figures. I have the TCS Stug, Jagdpanther and Kingtiger in my collection and they all measure a consistent 1/28 scale.
