I have a toy soldier room and I am thinking of putting a few replica weapons on the wall. There is a guy on ebay selling Denix brand thompson & M 1. Is anyone familier with this company? Also found a dealer selling resin replicas, much cheaper, but I don,t think the quality is very good. One more thing there is an orange plug in the barrell, will that come out? I believe I read somewhere that that was an ebay requirement to show it won,t shoot.

Yes they are removable, ebay in all its brilliance now requires everyone to put a brightly colored plug in the barrel of any toy gun, or replica listed.

You might also consider attending a local gun show (if they have them in your area) where you might find a reasonable display piece or two.

Denix make fairly good replicas. Some of their flintlocks are a bit clumsy but the more modern weapons are quite accurate with regard to dimensions and weight. They do a very good Lee Enfield.
