There has to be a half-dozen Frontline sets that I would like to get, but those sets haven't been restocked in over a year, including 2 indian canoe sets I am waiting on. Any hints about Frontline's production policies?

They do delete ranges.....I still think they have the best range of Napoleonics in 54mm plus i like there style of painting and would like to own them all oneday.
But i better get cracking i have noticed some sets are disappearing now.

Interesting- I had mentioned this to the Frontline Crew-(Mr Prime specifically) in Chicago. the FIW and Indian sets are awesome, and should be restocked.
he didnt deny this.

I am a huge fan of Frontline Figures' toy soldiers and have about 1,000 in my collection. I have several hundred Frontline Napoleonics on display and consider them a bargin at just $18 a figure (i.e., six figures per set for $108) given the level of detail and painting. I have about two dozen sets which I purchased from a Frontline dealer which are still in their original boxes with all the original paperwork and which have never been displayed. I bought them for a display which I made, but on a smaller scale than originally planned. Therefore I did not use them. They are all pretty much Napoleon's European Allies (e.g., Saxony, Bavaria, Nassau, Westphalia, Neuchatel, Ireland, etc) and are no longer available from Frontline. I originally had at least three sets from each country: attack marching, firing & loading, and advancing. However, a collector bought all the attack marching sets from me at the West Coaster, so I no longer have any of them left. I intend to list what I have on the "For Sale" section of the forum soon, but if you are interested in any particular sets you can contact me directly at matara42@roadrunner.com to see if I have what you want. The price is $108 per set plus shipping.

Mike you are so right about them being a bargain. I used to have a lot of those in the Napoleonic range. One of my favorites was the RHA Rocket set. The FIW stuff was a welcome departure from the usual stuff they made and wonderfully painted. They are very hard to get for some reason these days. Hope you are able to sell.

Mike,

I hope so, too. I have only received one inquiry to date. So we shall see.

I also have and like the RHA Rocket set. The FIW range was a welcome addition to their offerings; I have many of those sets in my collection.

Frontline's tie-in with the magazine Altaya coupled with the tragic, untimely passing of Howard Swales has changed Frontline's focus from what it once was into something now on a different track. However, I was very happy to see that they are coming out with a new SYW line and intend to add them to my collection at the next West Coaster.

I hope you can make it to Bob Walker's Open House next month.

Dealers here in Pennsylvania who have a pretty wide selection would be Stan Clarke at Gettysburg Antique Center and Mike Russo at Stockade miniatures- I think Mike has sold a lot of his sets over the years but may still have a few.

Frontline does nice work- I really like their Colonial Life series.

I would probably collect their FIW line but for 2 reasons,The uniforms are a little too neat and clean and I don't like the way the French troops hats are.The British have the classic tricorne and the Montcalm set does also.I don't know what you would call what they are wearing.Maybe someone can enlighten me.
