RETIREMENT 1812: "THE HORROR OF SURVIVORS ..."
it was necessary to fight against hunger and cold ....... this carabiner had just shortened the sufferings of his mount and brought comfort to this young wounded drum ...

"Clouds of crows, passing over our heads, uttered sinister cries as if to hasten the moment when we were to serve them as pasture ..."

Source of inspiration and my staging:

As always Guy your photography and story telling are something to behold!!! Thanks for taking the time to post these awesome photos.

Alway wonderful to see projects from the master :salute:::salute::

This one I missed. Exceptional from any aspect. The integration of foreground and background is breathtaking.

VERY ARTISTIC:salute::.(Those first 2 paintings really evoke the emotions of iminent death and despair of a defeated army)....It's hard to capture that feeling with figures but you have come as close as possible ....Well Done Guy:salute::

Excellent work! You've captured the hopelessness and the futility of the situation perfectly. Thanks for sharing it with us.

As usual.an outstanding piece.I think your dioramas are more realistic and just as evocative as the paintings'
