I just received my Panzer Commanders from Kronprinz. Another success from Kronprinz.
They come in both full body and half body figures and portray both Waffen SS and Heer Panzertruppen. The sculpts are very nice and like Kronprinz's other WW2 Germans the paint colors and tones blend in very well with First Legion figures. So here are my thoughts:
Size: they are standard Kronprinz size, i.e. just slightly bigger than FL Stalingrad figures. I think they are very close size wise to the FL Waffen SS line They blend fine with both, especially when in a vehicle.
Paint: Both the black Panzer uniforms and the Waffen SS camo paint is very good. On the SS camo, the colors are dark and subdued and blend in very well. It creates a nice effect and captures SS camo very well IMO.
Useability: These are very versatile figures (especially the 1/2 body figures). They fit in a wide range of tanks by FL, Figarti, K&C etc. They provide correct sized figures for use with tanks that measure to a true 1/30 scale.
Verdict: Extremely nice figures and, as always with Kronprinz, a very cost effective way to increase your Panzerwaffe. Kronprinz represents the best quality to value relationship in the hobby right now IMO.
