A revised hard cover edition of Regiments of All Nations(ROAN)by Joe Wallis is
now available.

According to the book’s flyer/order form I just received, the latest edition
of this classic and definitive history of Britains Ltd. lead soldiers between 1946-66
has “all color photographs”.

It features(quoting the order form):

• Over 500 close-up photos of postwar military and civilian figures(with identifying captions underneath each photo);
• Contains detailed descriptions providing: color schemes, changes in the composition of sets, and the years during which each set or item appeared postwar;
• Places photographs in numerical order throughout the text, facing corresponding set descriptions; and
• Includes: a history of the Firm, a Glossary, a chapter of Basic Identifications Hints, and Appendices cross-referencing the 9000 Series set numbers and listing all known prewar sets.

Also, according to the Joe Wallis web site, the new edition has 415 pages(prior edition had 258)as well as 100 additional photographs.

The book can be ordered directly from Joe Wallis($60 US, $70 Canada, $80 overseas; prices include postage) at P.O. Box 3407 Arlington, VA 22203-3407 or through his web site at www.leadsoldierbooks.com where you can print out the order form and send it in.

(I’ll follow-up by posting a review of the book on this thread after I’ve gotten my copy).

Hello,

I have just reviewed Mr. Wallis' revised edition of ROAN and highly recommend it. My complete review will appear in the next issue of Old Toy Soldier magazine.
