I gave this movie another a look yesterday. A narration by Pacino's character was added and some changes made to the ending. Slight problems with British drill (New York battle) and a too visible cap lock rifle in a close-up but a good looking film and clothing and uniforms are 99 % there (to my eye.) Geography was off with the Fjord on the James river in the Yorktown scene. It's available on NETFLIX. Look for "Riff Raff" from Rocky Horror Picture Show as the officer of the 16th Light Dragoons.

I haven't seen this in quite a while but I quite liked it, especially the battle scenes and I thought the Sutherland British Sgt. was quite well done. -- Al

This has always been one of my favorites. I like the very gritty look of the period, very realistic. I have seen both versions, I recommend either version.
