The 3 WW2 books he wrote are they true non fiction are they similier to that book about Gettysburg "Angels ???" that is based on fact but has charectors sort of made up by the author. You know what I,m talking about.

These are true-non fiction books and marvelous books. He did an incredible amount of research. I have all three. The ones about the campaigns in Africa and Italy are marvelous. I have the newer one but have not finished it.
Definitely worth picking up. You will enjoy them. Must haves.
Agree completely with Brad's assessment. Reading history at it's finest. Oddly, I have yet to get to the last volume either, but it is on my 'must have' list. These books are as good as WW2 history gets. -- Al
Thanks, I just picked up the 3rd one from the library will start on it tomorrow. Tonight, BRAD, we are seeing Jersey Boys! We seen it the last time it came to St Louis and liked it so much we are seeing it again.
