Ridley Scotts Robinhood (1 Viewer)

I saw Ridley Scott is coming out with a Robinhood movie in May of 2010. Russell Crowe plays Robinhood. I wonder if this has the making of another blockbuster like Gladiator.

I wonder if it will be as good as the award winning epic "Robin Hood, men in tights" or if it will be any better than "The last remake of Beau Geste?"

I just saw "State of Play" on Friday for the second time, I'm am now convinced Russell Crowe can't make a bad film! Master and Commander, Body of Lies, and Gladiator were all fantastic performances, and Crowe is in my all time favorite actor lists! So I will most definately see this one...

Russell is a great actor. I wonder if he is still in good enough shape for this role though?

Cate Blanchett is replacing Sienna Miller as Marion, somewhat of a pity but not the end of the world.

I personnally think he can play anything. I of course love Gladiator, etc. but he is very good in comedies like in a Good Year (the action takes place in France and is about wine/women )

I agree and I loved A Good Year, as well as, of course, Gladiator. I only mentioned his fitness since he had gained about 60 lbs through the last few movies but according to the press on Robin Hood, he is back to Gladiator fitness; a pretty impressive feat in itself.

Excellent! Looking forward to seeing that movie...I like all Ridley Scott's movies and Robin Hood's story. I still think that Errol Flynn was the best in that role but let's give Russel a chance!
