Hi Guys,
Driving along the highways and biways of South Vietnam during the war you never quite knew what might appear around the next corner... Water buffaloes were a constant and ever present danger both to themselves and anyone who happened to collide with them.
Here an Australian unit making their way along a village road near the main Aussie base at Nui Dat comes to a halt when faced with some relaxing buffaloes blocking the road.
Fortunately the young boy whose family owns the animals makes his way forward to move the beasts on their way.
If not then perhaps these might have been ‘fresh meat’ on the menu back at the base tonight!
