Posting #3 of my Britains collection from 1950s-early 1960s. Randy

Britains Herald Set: photo 1 (Friar Tuck, Little John, Robin Hood)
photo 2 (Maid Marian and Sheriff of Nottingham)
These were very likely issued to go with the British tv series starring Richard Greene in the Adventures of Robin Hood (1955-1960). That's about the time I remember getting these.

That is a very rare group you've got there.

I had one of these complete sets dead mint in box. It went for an obscene amount of money.

These are the best condition I have seen aside from the ones I had.

Just remember to store them carefully. If they begin to shed paint and to smell like crayons it means that are becoming brittle and will likely snap to piece over time. Keep them out of any sunlight and try to keep them in a consistent climate.

Randy - Thx for sharing these photos. I'm always interested in Robin Hood toys and figures. I have the Hong Kong knockoffs of these... but the paint has mostly chipped off. I believe I'll repaint them using your photos of the originals as a reference.

Thx again,

Jim
