I wanted to make everyone aware that if you ever visit OTSN that a great side trip if you can make it is an hour west of the show on either Sat or Sun for World War II Days in Rockford IL. It is the largest WWII reenactment with over 1200 reenactors. Below are some photos. If you can pull yourself away from the Hyatt for about 4 hours I highly reccomend the trip.

It is......hard to pull people away from the show but if they go they would be hooked. It is really something special to see. Shame its the same weekend I bet a dealer could go out there and sell some figures for sure.

I`m not so sure about a dealer doing well. Many years ago Brian and I went out to the reinactment in Rockford. We set up tables and received plenty of alcalades and praise ,but sold "NOTHING". None of the reinactors had there checkbooks with them, and for the most part most of their cash goes toward maintaining uniforms, equipment and their vehicles. The reinactment itself is SPECTACULAR! My opinion!

I rememebr that Bill......but I stress that it was 6 or 7 years ago. This year they told me on Sunday that over 10,000 people were there on Saturday and I could only imagine that the Sunday crowd was as big from how long it took us to get into the parking lot. They now have a very busy merchant area for the selling of goods. I'm not sure K&C would be a huge seller but plastic would. You should see the kids now at this event all running around with toy guns and army helmets...amazing!
