We are pleased to present the next set in our Glory of Rome figure series, ROM115 "The Spoils of War". The set consists of 3 Barbarian prisoners behind a treasure laden wagon drawn by a pair of Oxen. The barbarian leader is chained to a post in the rear of the wagon. Scenes such as this were common during the triumphs of Roman emperors and generals commemorating their successful military campaigns. This one was originally conceived to be used for the Triumph of Julius Caesar or Marcus Aurelius. When combined with our Roman Senators, Marching/Standing Legionaries and Praetorians, and Caesar/Marcus Aurelius, the beginnings of a Triumph scene can be put together. Please note that only 100 of this set have been produced.

ROM115 "The Spoils of War" $565.00
Pre-Order, Ships End January

Best,

Really looking forward to this piece, first shown April 2015, so nearly 4 years. They say good things are worth the wait. Now just need the castle gate^&grin, Robin.

Looks like all the latest sets are in stock and shipping next day for guys waiting for something.

A Triumphal Arch would be more appropriate for the period. The Emperor could be riding on the excellent FL War Elephant.

True, but I need the gate to complete Matt's 'existing' castle walls and towers, for my English Civil War series. It has been on his drawing board for many years. Have a suitable arch already for my upcoming dio using this magnificent prisoner train. Good idea about using a Elephant, will consider if there is room. At the moment the Legate is leading on his horse, not as spectacular as an Elephant to be sure. Robin.

I use Exin castle gates with my Roman Fortification dioramas. Schleich, Elastolin and Exin gates are available on Ebay. A Schleich gate was posted on the FL thread in use with the FL wall sections. The Schleich gate is the largest of the three noted and measures 8 inches wide by 11 inches tall.

The highly efficient TF store has dispatched, so now the prisoner train will slowly make it's way to 'down under' and a triumphant greeting in Rome. A four year campaign for this wonderful piece to materialise and now it's down to a handful of days, can't wait. Robin.

Hopefully there will be some pics to follow. I'm curious to hear thoughts and see pics other then the stock photos.

A beautiful piece. All the gear in the wagon are fixed. Really happy to have it and will show some photos end of next week. Robin.

Ok could not wait until next week, early morning photo shoot. Thanks to Matt for producing this fantastic piece and Julie for it's safe passage, here it is heading for Rome and a triumphant return. Robin.
