Excellent paint job. As a history buff, I believe you depicted him and his clothing in proper colors. Tanned Italian olive skin from the sun, plus weathered clothing and leather from long campaigns. As to the reddish brown tone of the hooded cape, it maybe a battlefield replacement or his old wool winter cape that will be replaced when he returns home to Rome and purchases brighter new clothes and outerwear. In all I love the piece, it speaks volumes and would be great in a diorama setting.
