A Roman Auxiliary Cavalry scout is ambushed by Dacians near the Iron Gates in 101 AD, during the first Dacian War. The Dacians distract the scout while an archer looses a deadly arrow from behind cover. The Dacians were a confederation of peoples comprised of Thracians, Celts, Germans and Sarmatians.

The superb dynamic poses of the TG Roman Cavalry figures allow for close combat scenes with a small group of figures.

Who makes that figure on the left? Also can you take a pic of it by itself?

The figure on the left is a Barbarian made by Conte. One of a set of four figures. Conte made a number of excellent Barbarian figure sets in dynamic combat poses. Many of these sets are available on eBay. My favorite sets are Behold the Power of Rome and Cause and Effect. Ken Osen sculpted some of the Conte figures.

Hopefully our Legionnaire will be rescued by some reinforcements due to arrive shortly, unfortunately we also have some Ancient Britons coming as well so there may not be a happy ending for him!

Great pose, I look forward to this figure. What shield insignia will be used?
