Viva La Vida lyrics by Coldplay

"I hear Jerusalem bells are ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can not explain
Once you know there was never, never an honest word
That was when I ruled the world"

I didn't think the Romans had choirs at all, not as we think of them, let alone their cavalry units. The choir (chorus) was a group of voices used in theater, wasn't it, which they had adapted from the Greeks. I thought Roman music used much smaller groups of voices.

Who is Coldplay, never heard of them (though I've moved from classic rock and early 80s punk and new wave to country and polkas, so I've probably missed them).

Prost!
