I thought you might enjoy some pictures of some new Roman cavalry we have coming soon. There will be a total of 3 in the initial batch followed by some parade variants for those of you who prefer something a little more sedate!

Both those two in the photos look very nice indeed.

Question will the more Parade sculpts ones be wearing parade masks or not ? For me hopefully without so they'll be more multi use !

Probably both!

These look great, any idea yet have many there will be? In terms of different figures, they would look great as an attacking group.

Need the attackers and I think the JJ warriors would be great with them.

All sounds like good stuff !
One thing though as been having a longer and closer look at them and that is about the style of saddle being used on the sculpts, while I'm no expert on ancient saddle styles these look wrong to me, should they not be of the horned variety ?

I agree. The most common saddle that was utilized was a four pommel/horn saddle so the individual could keep his balance while utilizing his hands to control his shield and weapon.

The late great Peter Connolly discovered via experimental Archaeology the construction of the four horned saddle used by Roman Cavalry.
