I've recently bought some Lemax Grey Pebble mats, which once given a quick paint over, to fill in the gaps for dirt and then the surface paint wiped mostly wiped off look quite effective to use as a Roman Road for your legionaries to march along or your Revolutionary War figures to fight over etc

I got mine at a reasonable price on ebay.

I have no connection to Lemax other than as someone who's bought a couple of products.

Hi Steve, I recently discovered Lemax while looking for useful accessory items in the dolls house market. The range is extensive and cheap with a host of useful
products for easy adaption to the 1:30 scale. They are made to appeal to the mass market for occasions like Halloween and Xmas so the standard of painting is rudimentary. But the original figure sculpts are credible and the material is a polyresin, which can be reworked with normal modelling tools. This for around $2.00USD per figure makes them something of a bonus to the diorama maker. You are not going to find any hero figures for collecting but rather a support set that adds depth to a backdrop to set off a great display for your favourite collection. You don't need to have a connection to these products to appreciate their value - they speak for themselves. They appear to be readily available, which is probably why I never noticed them :).

Hi Bob
Yes they do have some useful items.
This is Lemax too.

Came in Grey plastic that I painted. Bricks look a little on the small side, but then brick sizes do vary anyway over time and country.

Hi Steve,
Yes, bricks are an interesting material. On a recent trip to Europe, I came across a region where traditional brick construction specialised in very small bricks, which made possible some unique architecture. We can at times get a tad carried away on what we imagine scale to be, and miss out on that unique creation. Nice little scene by the way. The Yanks are definitely coming - in droves:)
Lemax? I can't recommend them highly enough for the fun aspect - they are so economical, you can toss away your mistakes and start again quite painlessly. No stress- what more could you ask of a hobby?
