Hi,

Are there any Roman experts out there???
Which of these two companies make the most historically accurate, well-sculpted Roman figures? Some feedback appreciated before I embark on a new range... heaven help me...

I personally like the K&C Romans better. King and country has better sculpts and better painting and the barbarians to fight them are superb. However,Conte romans come in a large amount of poses and are cheaper

e.g. A single Roman figure from King and Country cost $29
A single Roman figure from conte cost $15

If your planning to start a small collection I would say King and Country but if you plan to create a huge diorama like Pickett's charge I would use Conte because they have more kinds of Roman units and casualty poses.

The Conte sculpts are second to none, I think they have great paint jobs. The Conte have many more poses, and to me that would be my major draw. RC is expanding all the time, the scale is a little smaller than K&C, but you can use them with other companies better. Thats my opinion, Mike.:)
