Guys

Anybody watching this docu series??

caught up with number 1 and 2 in one hit thanks to the wounder of SKY+.

I had tears of pride, upset and pure emotion through the whole thing. Ross Deserves as does his crew and award from the TV mogals on this it is the best thing on TV at the moment.

Real life, not this FATTY SKINNY EATY S**Te on tele.

One lad deserves a medal himself an 18 year old lad has decided to get his little lazy *** off the park bench drinking and do something with his life. So he joined up and within 8 weeks was on the front line. Ross caught up with him after his first tour. He is now a very fine upstanding man who i would be more than happy to share the same room with. Proves what can be done with these waster kids who are allowed to get away with doing nothing on the streets of England.

Another amazing thing was watching the training and the guys firing a modern Anti Tank Rocket Launcher. PPppppppppppppeew BAM this thing was lefal and on the range to this tank right out.........Ross said ' This thing is accurate...........mind at £60k a shot it has to be!!!!! £60k ($120K)............no wander arms firms push for war!

Then there was the part where Ross and his crew get ambushed and he is in the miiddle of a poppy field! you only see the camera filiming the sky and the grass but you can here the Whizz of the bullets and the woosh of the RPG flying over their heads. And of course Ross's voice says it all.

Absolutly amazing frontline stuff...............My hat, cloths my whole life goes out to the guys that are out there!!! Oh and when they come home they have to have muted welcome home cerominies on camp!!!! what a load of B***cks they are doing ana amazing job risking life and limb whilst these over paid, fat, stupid waster of MPs direct them for more action!!

Well ana amazing programme on SKY one in the UK Monday nights watch it, it makes me prode to be British! watching the se guys.

Best stop before i rant to much! and get told off by Shannon or Brad!

Its not a rant Tony. Only justifiable pride - especially after that Snivelling Little Runt/Iranians/I-Pod hang-your-head-in-shame episode.

Havn't seen this myself but have heard great things about it.But have to agree with Tony's sentiment. Not only do these lads get little thanks or recognition but about all the wounded get is bloody MRSA when they go into Hospital!.

I think you may have just coined a new name for a whole genre of programme Tony 'Fatty Skinny eaty S****!!':D

Went ahead and toggled MSN for the show as unfortunately, I cannot get it here in the States. Here was a snippet- be warned, "harsh" language contained

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/arts/main.jhtml?xml=/arts/2008/01/19/nosplit/bvtvsunfeat19.xml

For whatever reason, for the LIFE OF ME, I cannot understand how the efforts in Afghanistan have become "The Second Forgotten War" (behind the Korean war)- at some point in time, we were highly committed to taking the Taliban out and now, Afghanistan is completely forgotten- except to those fantastic British and American soldiers and their families who await their return.

Operation Anaconda was one of the biggest ops in the GWOT- You can read about it here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Anaconda

A sniper from the Princess Pat's regiment set the sniper record at a confirmed kill at 1.51 miles.

Yeah, it blows my mind- they are true heroes in every sense of the word and their cause is as noble as any we've ever taken on.

Shhheesh guys just read my post again and i dont normally speak like that sorry for all the spell mistakes!!!

I type faster than i think!!! LOL

I've read and seen pics of the brit using the Long range desert group concept in modern day Iraq as Scud busters and I believe they were continueing in Afganistan.
Does anyone know of some diecast 1/24 to 1/32 Land rovers being produced?
I'd love to covert a couple over for this.
Ray :D;)

Chris

I read an article on it last night and i think you can be assured it will be sold to the US for TV.

As Ross is not a news reporter it somehow feels a lot more real! and basically he is up with the guys clearing poppy fields and compounds!

Even my wife is into it!!!!! who normally is not into this kind of thing at all!
