Another great set also, I just wish Britains would ditch the green colour of the bases and make them grey.

Yo Trooper, ignore photo, just to show the bases of Britains today. This is why I put a request for Old Brtitains to have their own heading people get them confused with todays Britains. All todays Britains start off with a Number 4, ie 41150 etc. Leadmans set is 1989, before todays owners so there is nothing they can do about the bases.

Great looking set Trooper Leadmen, and great photo nice to see.
Bernard.

How do you think the modern Band of the Royal Marines compares with one of the Vintage ssets Britains made? (Post-war -Britains made 3 Royal Marine Bands, 1291, 2115 and 2153.)

It makes it difficult to get a true comparison with the above still in the box. It would be nice if you featured them in the same manner as John has provided so that we can give a true evaluation of both sets......The Lt.

We've been provided with the Vintage/New Tradional section of the forum which allows you to establish exactly what you would like to have. Start a new thread Old Britain's vs New and you've got what you want......The Lt.

You've not been deported down to vintage and neither has Dick been. Please feel free to continuing posting as you have been. You've been complaining so thought I'd provide you with a solution that would make sense......The Lt.

Yo Trooper, sorry Scott my mistake, just had a look at the new lines, all have green bases. To be honest the grey is not a nice colour, might look ok on a Battleship, prefer a black base myself. Did notice the poor old horse's still on plates and only cerimonial stance. Would like to know off Britains what scale the horse's are ie; Capt Nolan and the new ones coming out, and why they changed them, you would think "HEY" lets keep the horse's the same size as the older Britains then they will match in ok.
Bernard.

Bernard -- personally, I would rather have green bases then black -- think the figures fit in better with other figures. Do you really prefer black bases?

Dick

The only reason I suggested grey is that some of the figures are meant to be on parade. As far as I can remember they usually don't do it on grass

Yo Trooper Britt yes your right only parade on the parade ground or square, so why not suggest to Britains that their cerimonial should be dark grey for that reason.

Yo Dick, your always there with a guiding hand, didn't think all the rest I have are green except 7th Hussars band. Who said black on the ground Trooper give me 50 push ups NOW.
Bernard.

Hey Bernard, the horses that you sent me work out to about 16 hands which would be about right scale wise.
