Hi
I have been offered a set of these. Does anyone know how many buglers are in the set? I have seen sets with two and sets with three. Basically is this a 9 or 10 figure set?

Thanks
Zach

Look at my albums. I have posted photos of a brochure that K & C did many years ago. That may answer your question.

It sure did and yup - we have one missing bugler - bummer

Thanks for assist on this one (and all the others!)

I wouldn't let one bugler kill the deal for you. Over the years, I have bought bits and pieces of sets, filling in the missing ones. If it were me and I otherwise liked the set -- and I like all the bands Andy dis back in his glossy days -- I would buy it.

Here is a quote from the K&C Book, Volume III, about the Royal Marine Drum Corps (RMDC):

The Royal Marines depicted in sets RMDC, RM1 and RM2 wore navy blue tunics, navy blue pants with red stripes at the hem, black shoes, white belts, white gloves, white helmets with gold badges and gold balls on top. . . .

RMDC consisted of a drum major carrying a baton in his right hand, attired as the senior NCO but with white gauntlets, gold braid on his tunic and an additional patch above the stripes on his right sleeve, three buglers, five side drummers (attired as above), and a bass drummer (attired as above, but with a leopard skin over his tunic). This set originally retailed for $75.00.
