A handy book for Royal Navy modellers is " Uniform Regulations for the Officers, Petty Officers and seamen of the Fleet 1879" published by DP&G. Full of colour illustrations, and, as the title indicates, details for all ranks. Also of interest by the same publisher "Royal Navy Handbook of Field Training 1926"
which contains, amongst a wealth of other information the details of arms drill.
