Wow, John, excellent job! I especially like how you've given each Jock a distinct personal expression. Really, very nicely done!

Can you show all ten of them? And aren't Tabony's castings full of such detail! They look great!

Prost!
Brad

Wow! Not bad for a Newark lad. ;)

Exceptional detail John, especially the facial features. Cheers for sharing the pics.

Oh, OK, when I opened the post, I didn't yet see the second picture, even better.

Yes, you've done a great job with them, John!

Show us more, please!

Very nice figures and painting. Nice job with painting such detailed figures.

John, your paintwork is exceptional.
The detail you put in your work and then the superior gloss finish truely make them one of a kind.
Thanks for the pictures.

John,
I must agree with the rest of your fanclub members!

Really nice job. Very expressive faces!!
it would be worth seeing close-up pictures of the other faces.

Yup, I've gotta say it again-absolutely fantastic! You've really got a distinctive style to your painting. Fantastic, really wonderful job!

Prosit!

I've really enjoyed this thread & had a good laugh with myself :D

reading the well-earned rave reviews of your stunning paintering ,I kept hearing praise of the faces-so I went back and sure enough the face renderings are brilliant...but what had me impressed was the Tartan painting-those Hunting Stewart trews are the best I've EVER seen, Magnificent,Thank You,Best,John

Great job. You even researched and painted the details of the colonels' campaign ribbons. You have a very steady hand to paint those so well.

Now that looks like a Colonel. Are Tabony castings still available ?

I dont think these castings are available anymore but I know that RP World Models still have some painted odds and ends available (I believe they used to paint for William King who supplied these) By the wat the Colonel is not Tabony he is a mixture of torsoe unknown, arms /head /sword from Chota Sahib spares.KV I do have some kilties but not painted yet.

Regards John

Hello John,

Exceptional painting on the faces -the skin tones and shading are superb and fantastic tartan lines. Did you use decals?...:)
