I have a question about the uniform worn by the Royal Welsh Fusiliers in the Boxer Rebellion as shown in the Trophy Boxer Rebellion set BS22A. The khakitunic with blue collar and cuffs in conjunction with the blue trousers with red stripe seems an unusual combo. Wouldn't in 1900 the entire uniform be khaki? Does anyone know of evidence for the Trophy version? Compare the RWF officer as seen in the Osprey Boxer Rebellion Men at Arms

Here is an engraving from the Graphic of the RWF at depot in Oct, 99.

Thanks for your research, I like that engraving. Where did you find it?

For some reason your link to the Boxer site doesn't work so here's another try.

Those Trophy RWF uniforms are definitely unique, In 55 Days at Peking it shows them in scarlet tunics, blue trousers and white helmets which I am sure is wrong since khaki had replaced it by 1900.

I liked this photo from the Boxer site of the Royal Marine Light Infantry,

Randy
