I picked up “RSF-009-Waiting Patiently” this weekend from Sierra Toy Soldier in Los Gatos and it is truly spectacular. IMHO it is one of the best sets John has ever made. And, as amazing as it sounds, the set’s beauty is found in its simplicity. From the war paint to the rifles, the attention to detail and the colors are impossible to ignore. It speaks volumes to John’s talents that a set made up of two pieces involved in minimal action can capture so much of a collector’s attention.

Right there with you. Definitely in my Top 10 favorite JJD sets, especially the one in the black paint. Got an email from John and he takes particular pride in the one with the red face paint. My "Top 10" is now standing at about 45 figures.

I agree, Jenkins Indians are the best ever seen, the next release below will be a further masterpiece!
cheers

I love seeing John's work at this stage - just as a sculpture, before the paint. A real work of art.

At the Westcoaster a few years back I got the chance to meet John and watch him paint a piece. It was amazing to watch.

I can't wait for more from this series!

WOW! The unpainted figure with the bow is pretty impressive. He told me more Indians and FIW French are OTW so get your checkbooks and charge cards ready.
