call me pedantic but both treefrog and bill sager insist on labelling this figure as a mexican .
It should be

Henry Thomas of Germany Kneeling Firing (Gray tunic) - single figure
Originally from Germany, this Alamo defender was a member of the New Orleans Grays under the command of Captain William Blazeby. He died in the final struggle.

Hmmm...wonder what happened that both of us would get it wrong??

I have it fixed now.

I took a brief look at this question before heading to work and unless K & C changed the description later on, the original description was right; the error seems to have been calling RTA 45 Mexican.

I have a vague recollection that they did change the description but I've checked the Dispatches for 2009 and 2010, to date, as well as some of the brochures, and can find no reference to this figure as Henry Thomas. Also, if you check the K & C website, they refer to the figure as "Kneeling Firing Defender."

The March 2009 Dispatches described it as a "Kneeling Firing Defender." However, the error may have come because in the Dispatches it said: Our latest additions… six new figures… 3 Mexican “Soldados” and 3 new “defenders”. People may have assumed that the first three listed were Mexican but they weren't (RTA 43, Lying Wounded Texan, RTA 44 Dead Mexican Soldier and RTA 45).

Treefrog and Bill Sager weren't the only ones to make this error, by the way. Others such as King & Country UK do this as well.

the collectors card that is relevant to the figure carries the henry thomas description . he is also not in a mexican uniform .

I have written an email to K&C to finalize the mystery behind the name of this figure.
When K&C posts it's new figures the dealers get an excel sheet with the names and prices. We copy these for our records and use them as the official name and price of each item. If K&C says that is the name of the item then that is what I keep on my website as the official name.
When K&C responds I will post the official word.
Thanks,
Bill
