Russian film 1612 (1 Viewer)

Looks very cool with these Polish winged cavalry men. Just added this one to my NetFlix queue. Thanks for the tip!

Watch for the "Mama! Angels!" scene.

There's a few 1600s movies on NETFLIX from the Poles as well.

I watched it yesterday and this is in fact an excellent movie. No dull moment. Well directed, good acting/costumes/military equipment/special effects with plenty of action: sword fights, battle scenes with artillery and cavalry charges (Polish winged hussars).
It's a little graphic at times (PG13) but very entertaining overall due to the humor/passion display by the characters. I was even able to brush up my Russian (learned this language for 7 years). I would recommend this one to anyone who is looking to learn more about tormented 17th Century Russian history that led to the birth of the Romanov dinasty...

PG13. I didn't invite my 14 year old daughter who has seen "worse" in regards to nudity to watch the film. She likes history films. It was more the graphic simulated violence that I thought would be bad for her and I thought watching subtitles would bore her.

I'll recommend you to watch "Ogniem i Mieczem" (With Fire and Sword) it is on netflix.com , this is one of the best Polish History movies. At the time of its release, this lavish historical epic was the most expensive Polish film ever made.

That's another good one! NETFLIX as a few others in Polish history.

Colonel Wolodyjowski (1969)

Pan Tadeusz (1999)

This one is Napoleonic era.
