Russian Grenadiers/treefrog (1 Viewer)

I was goofing off on Monday and saw some of these napoleonic grenadiers in the bargain bin here at Treefrog. They are 35.00 Called Pete and ordered them Monday afternoon my time they were here Friday! I like the figs. I bought two sets I may repaint one set. stock#17366. There are 5 left. Thanks Pete and Shannon for the quick service! If I do repaint a set I will of course post them in the conversions

Vampire, Those look like Musketeers rather than Grenadiers.No big deal. Anyway, a nice repaint would be very simple.The Russian infantry uniforms varied hardly at all compared to the French. If you paint the trousers the same as the tunic they could be Jagers.HMMM. Now theres an idea. 5 sets left ? HMMMMM.

Hey I might want more! No. help yourself. The lace going from left to right kind of throws me. I'd have to remove them. But at less than 12.00 a piece, that is beter than the Del Prados. Mouse-k-teers? MUAHHAhahahhaaaaaaa.

Yes, Musketeers! I have seen that festoon, shako cord tucked under the right shoulder tab or just dangling.I have a name for that STRING, but I wont say it here.
That Russian Shako is Uniuqe to the Russian Army.What are you going to convert them to?
I am still thinking about it but I have been very very bad recently.I would repint them to Jagers in thier green hunters uniform. Poses refect that too, good hunters.

Jawohl! Jagers they have become. Still having a focus problem with the new camera. It seems to be me The battery is recharging. Hope to have pics for the latest acquisitions and repaints The Jagers 1st Batt. Steinrok Brigaden are on the front line in a skirmish position.
