Russian T-95 tank (1 Viewer)

It looks rather German-last century,,rather automated for things going wrong,,Plus didnt a few get hit in the libyan armor column yesterday,,and a higher profile then a t90 etc,,besides that it cool.

No dude, not even remotely ^&grin^&grin it's still a prototype so far as I understand.

lots of interesting comments along with the article. A 152- now THAT is a man sized main gun. Interesting to see how Soviet armor has declined since WW2 as American armor has become the global standard.

Well its certainly looks like a proto type to me with a lot of canvas covering who knows what on the Turret and gun shroud. The automated turret is an interesting idea but I really doubt it will perform as touted. The 152mm Main Gun is also an interesting choice for a main gun I would like to see some analysis of what the AP Round looked like, discarding sabot, solid shot round, or just HE, the Kenetic energy produced from a round of this size would be formidable to be sure. But like everything the russians have made and fielded it would need some serious optics otherwise its going to be a big A**ed target on the battlefield. If they cant see far enough like the T72 cant it will be turned into a bunch of scrap in short order. Also they had a lot of problems with the auto loader over the years. Until its fielded and battle tested its going to be just another Soviet type boogie monster like the T64 and the T72 were when I was a young 2LT...

Its ok Lt ,,we were all soldiers when we were young,,sounds like the Sheridan w the 152 mm,,except maybe the rear plate wont pull off by the towing hooks..Chris shouldnt worry,,airbourne dont care about no stinkin armour. They got sticky bombs,,lets pull back downtown for the final post.
