It looks like someone agreed with our earlier talks on the Russian tanks. Hobbymaster will be releasing 4 Russian tanks this summer in 1:72 and 1:48 scale.

For those of you not familiar with them Hobby Master is a relatively new company. They really created quite a stir last year. They created some very good models that were very well received by the diecast community.

JS-2 (IS-2) This is actually a 1952 Chinese version. They are making a WWII version but I don't have a picture for that one.

Ronnie are the Hobbymaster 1/72 tanks better than the Dragon in your opinion? Do they have a heavier feel to them, more metal content? The earlier Dragon models had more of a die-cast feel with the newer ones lighter and containing more plastic.
Do all the planes have pilots?

I haven't seen any of the new 1:72 tanks yet so I called the distributor yesterday. He told me that the detailing was very good on these tanks plus they also had a higher metal content than the Dragon.

If you are familiar with some of the early HobbyMaster 1:48 King Tigers they had a high plastic ontent. They have changed that as well with the new 1:48 models adding more metal to give the heavier diecast feel to it.

We received in 4 new models from Hobby Master today.

two different versions of the JS-2 in 1:48 scale
KV-2 in 1:72
British Centaur in 1:72

Hobby Master is continuing to impress with their armor lineup.

The KV-2 must have been massive. I pulled out a couple of Dragon 1:72 vehicles and compared them to the KV-2. It dwarfed the T-34.

Thanks
