I just saw the new Russian Grenadier figures on the workbench. The sculpting and posing is awesome. I've said it before but, First Legion gets better with every release!! Great work Matt!

i agree.
i dont collect Napoleon (fortunately :p) but i certainly appreciate these fine figures and would have gone crazy if i did.

the charging cuirassiers are especially exceptional.

True, just can't wait to see them.

Back on topic, I do like the new pics of the Russian infantry as well.

The new Russian pieces are indeed most impressive. There are quite a few of us waiting for those brilliant Cuirassiers. They have to be an all time teaser which hopefully we will be seeing soon.:D

The Russian release has been a long time coming. We are our own worst critics when it comes to our figures and over time we've corrected some things and for whatever reason have continued to add to the range despite the fact that we haven't released any of it yet. At this point, we have the sculpts in hand to essentially release every type of Russian Infantry unit at Borodino (all line, all grenadiers, all types of guards, etc....). Further, our Russian Artillery is already in production and we have even more Cavalry that we haven't shown yet ready to go as well. So for those of you who have waited so patiently for our Russian Army at Borodino, all i can say to you is that the wait is almost over and you won't be disappointed. We're sort of building up to a crescendo....... As I'm sure many of you noticed, we at First Legion have an affinity for the Russian Military and as such they tend to be among the best of what we do.

Best,

Matt

I was hoping FL would eventually do some Pavlovski Grenadiers with their old style mitre hats. By what's said above, it looks to be a real possibility.:)

I totally agree what would the Napoleonic Russian army be without the Pavlovski Grenadiers?

It sounds impressive and sincerely I wish you and the Russian enthusiasts the best for these. For my purposes, I hope it is a model for similar British Military treatment for those of us poor blokes with that affinity.;):D

BTW, are you also going to model the most valuable Russian Military asset........the weather?:D

An Icee without the syrup should do. Kinda hard to ship though. You'll have to save the snow for when company comes over!!
