Saint-Chamond Tank (1 Viewer)

Really nice model of this tank. I like the coloring/camo. This is next on my 'buy' list. Thanks for the picture. -- Al

That's a great looking beast, a real land ship. Was going to try and avoid collecting WWI, but JJD's new French armour has really caught my interest.
Tommy, you must be looking forward to those upcoming French tank riders & crew. - I know I am. Thanks for the photo. - Ken

Well, after some delay (as always, life gets in the way), I was able to get my St Chamond tank. It came today and I could not be more pleased with it. Besides the unusual subject matter, it is a great model. Lots of detail and a really nice camo paint job. I especially like the detail that 3 of the 4 Hotchkiss Mg's are mounted in swivel joints. The guns can be swung from side to side. Nice work with that. I can hardly wait until the tank riders are available and what I am sure will be adequate infantry support. -- Al

I just discovered that the JJD St. Chamond goes perfectly with my ONWTC Renault 17 and the half-dozen French infantry that I have, also from ONWTC. I note that the Hotchkiss Mg's in the two tanks match up size-wise, so I am wondering if the St. Chamond is nearer 1/32 than 1/30. No matter, as the two tanks look like they were made to go together. The infantry looks correct in terms of height. I now have a minor French tank assault underway on my shelf.:wink2: -- Al

I have been doing a good job over the years avoiding WWI, but the JJD tanks are making it hard to continue. I have always liked this tank and can't believe that it has been made in 1/30 scale, it looks awesome. Great photo. Is this tank polystone/metal/plastic or a combination of materials ? I may have to take the WWI plunge in January.
