I listed this morning CST @ 10:18 AM two sets made by K&C in 2012 in memory of the 70th anniversary of the British surrender at Singapore on 15 February 1942. These sets are now retired by K&C.

This ebay sale is for USA buyers only.

K&C set FOB 079 represents the British surrender party members of Lt. Gen. Percival, Brigadier Newbigging with Union Jack flag & Major Wild with the white flag.

K&C set# FOB 080 represents Japanese Army General Yamashita and his interpreter, Major Sugita.

Also included are #3 reproductions of 1:32 scale W. Britain marching WW2 Japanese infantrymen.

The K&C figures are all in like new or mint condition as are the K&C set boxes. There are no boxes for the W. Britain reproductions.

Minimum bid for all of the above is $187.50 which is a lower price than any one else selling on eBay for the K&C sets noted above. These above items are listed at eBay under Toys & Hobbies and then under toy soldiers and lastly King & Country.

See photo below.

My initial eBay listing for these "The Fall of Singapore" sets did not sell at the end of the 3 day auction ending the mid morning of March 7, 2015. I have relisted the same auction items for a 7 day auction ending at 12:50 PM CDT on Saturday, March 14, 2015. There is now a minimum bid price of only $150.00 and a Buy-It-Now price of $195.00.

The eBay auction that ended on March 14th resulted in no sale. I have since decided to make a private sale locally if possible.

Gary,

I think this is a set that has more appeal overseas and by limiting yourself to the US market, you're losing potential buyers.

In addition, with newer K & C sets you need to start your price lower, something nearer the retail price or lower; K & C sets just don't sell as easily as they did in the past.

My local toy soldier dealer did not want to buy my K&C sets FOB 079 & FOB 080 as he has two of each in stock and these sets have not sold for a long time now in his store. I have decided to keep these two sets after all. I ended up revising some WW2 displays so as to free up a small display space for these two sets.

Gary,

With two of each in inventory, I well understand that, plus I imagine he would not repurchase them at the original purchase price.
