The EOI Roman figures are a bit (4-6mm) shorter than the Conte Romans. IMO, the two do not work side by side as Romans but could work against the Barbarians which were said to have been much taller any way. I posted some side by side photos here in another thread: http://www.treefrogtreasures.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13807

Have to agree there. Conte's Romans aren't very compatible with East of Indias excellent Roman figures, that I doubt I'll be collecting simply because I'm not really "into" Romans. That might change of course.
Conte's Spartans aren't compatible with East of India's excellent Ancient Greeks either. Which is a bit of a bummer.
Och, I know Bill - these continual and ongoing scale issues are a major bummer right enough. When are the other manufacturers finally going to realise that it's East of India and First Legion who've got it right?
Never mind, a pal of mine once suggested a fantasy Trojan War diorama along the lines of that brilliant old movie "Helen of Troy".
You could use the EoI figures as Mortals - and the Conte figures as The Gods.
That would work for me, err, well it would if I, err, had any of the Conte figures that is.
