Hi Matt,
since you have started a series of "mounted personalities" within your Napoleon's Europe range I am curious if something similiar is planned for the "Age of the Samurai" range?
Any info or hint would be appreciated.

Did Oda Nobunaga have a suit of converted European armor as well? Tokugawa Ieyasu is reported to have worn armor of Spanish manufacturer.
If I'm not mistaken, that photo is of the sculpting proofs, which are used for the molds to make the metal figures. I believe Matt is just giving an advance look at the work in progress on these. If you go to the FL site you will see many of their figures in progress stages in their "Work Bench" section.Aleš;240188 said:hm,they look "plastic" material to me.....

In what medium? These are actually images of original sculptures.
Knowing Matt, they must be in some kind of plastic I guess ;-)
Joke apart, these sculpts looks absolutely fantastic!
Maybe I should buy a book on the topic and maybe pickup one or two figures .
There are no fewer than 13 Osprey titles on the Samurai, many of which are available quite cheap in great used condition from sites like Abes Books and Albris. You can also find many of them as free download pdf files by simply searching for Osprey Samurai. They would be a great way to start for those who want to learn more. This is what i am talking about days ago.
Why not make a book of the Samurais, their tactics,warlords,shogun,daimos,...weapons,uniforms,battles,....because they are very interesting wariors but also very unknown,so i really have no idea who is Oda Nonubaga(is he cool or not) and who is who in which clan,...so it will be much easyer to display them when we know who fight who
