I just saw the M12 in the flesh. Its awesome but nothing else is new at the show. The show is nothing compared to Chicago but its a great idea. I see this show growing. The place was full and even had to have a guy set his stuff outside before the entrance. I didn't bring my adapter so the pictures will be up when I return from San Antonio. I am going to the show again tomorrow and will report some more stufff later. Oh yeah I also took pictures of the King & Country store and Andy's pub Mad Dogs.

Hi Alex,

I look forward to seeing the pictures of the show and of the King and Country store. Enjoy the show!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat

Hey Pat, I saw your friend Compton down here. He was painting some figures and he is really good at it.

Hi Alex,

Yes, I knew Compton would be there doing his painting thing at the show. He is an extremely talented artist. I gave some thought to attending the San Antonio show and spending some time with Compton, but I could not work out the details.

If you view the ACW figures that I placed on the Treefrog Forum under the "For Shiloh and Other ACW fans," thread, you will see Compton's work. Each of the figures I posted there were painted by Compton. If you see Compton before the end of the show, please tell him hello for me and tell him I will be in contact with him after he returns home.

I sent you an e-mail. I hope you will be able to offer me some suggestions with my project. In the meantime, enjoy the show and enjoy the remainder of the weekend!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat

Hi Alex,

Great pictures! Can you estimate the dimensions of the Alamo diorama? I am interested to know how much space is required for such a great diorama.

Thanks!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat

Wow.

Having been in KingsX I think this must be taking up a ton of the walking around room in the store. I looks like it is nearly 2 sheets of plywood fo rthe base. I'd love to know the actual dimensions. Is the smoke effect cotton balss that have been pulled apart or is it the stuff they use at Halloween to make spider webs? Very cool to see the smoke effect to give the display some action and draw your eye to certain spots on the board.

Very nice indeed!

All the best

Dave

That is some Diorama! I remember Andy telling me it was 5 feet by 10 feet. Gordon truly is a master!

That is a fantastic dio, what a work of art.

Rob

Louis it looks perfect for your new addition :D ;)

Are you kidding me? I have a secret diorama on order (that will be displayed at the Chicago Show) and I just bought an expanded original Normandy Village. I am already just about out of space. I won't be able to buy any more dioramas until I talk my wife into expanding the garage!

Louis, i think you must have the most understanding wife in the whole of North America!!:)

Rob

I think the display is about 4 x 8 ft. Ever since K&C took over there are a lot more dioramas in the shop.

Here is Kings X store with pictures of some of the many displays.
