I just received the latest Hitler Staff Car WS106 and was rather shocked at

the scale......it looked like the wife left it to long in the dryer!:D

Is it me........or are things shrinking?

My LAH40 (which I sold and replaced with the WS106) was a hefty piece

and the scale was quite impressive. This new Staff Car is a good deal smaller

and much lighter and gave me quite a shock when I took it out of the box.

I must say it is an impressive piece, and the figutes are very nice it just looks

like a different scale....anyone else notice this?

I also just received the WS136-137 sets and these figures also appeared to

be a different scale........is it just me? Since I just hit the big 6 0

maybe I'm shrinking!

One good thing about being 60 I got a "Senior" discount at the

movies I highly recommend "Public Enemies" :)

Congratulations, I turned 60 this month as well and my new hobby is collecting senior discount cards. Any idea if one is being offered for TS collectors?

136-137 look okay to me, but I had to go check them - Short term memory loss.

I'm 60 too. So it is with great regret that I must inform you that your memory is going. :D

I have both cars in front of me right now. (You made me look :) ) The Hitler Paris car is significantly longer than LAH40 and feels a bit heavier. The figures are the same size in each car. The Paris car may be fractionally narrower. The interior compartment of LAH 40 is rectangular while the Paris car is curved in slightly at the front and back of the passenger compartment.

Better you hear this from a friend than a stranger on the street :D

I don't think it has anything to do with turning 60. I'm 58 (this must be the old geezers thread :D). I think John has been on a diet lately plus he stayed up late on Friday night to watch the Yankees 15 inning game so I think his eyes must be tired :D

From having built scale models for years now, it seems to me that most of the K&C vehicles are not too accurate. I have not actually measured them and compared the findings to scale drawings as I'm not a K&C collector. I just going by the "looks" of the vehicle to my eye.

That said, I think that we need to remember that just because they are painted matte figures doesn't make then scale accurate.

They're more like toy soldiers with a shaded matte finish. ;)

Donnie well congratulations on your Birthday!

Actually I don't feel any different, and I certainly won't pass up any discounts either!:D..........now if I could just remember where I left my truck!:D

My only comment about scale is (as I approach geezerdom @ 56) I need the figures to be large enough for my older eyesight to see what uniforms they are wearing. I will not, repeat, not allow my FIW figures to attack Tiger tanks. -- Al

Terry thanks for the note! I am relieved to hear that the old eyes are playing

tricks on me!:D It was nice of you to do a side by side comparison especially

since my old LAH40 is now somewhere in Europe!:D

So you are 60 also! Well now I don't feel like its just me! Last time I

checked I was 18 and driving to the beach in my 1961 Corvette with my

surfboard in the passenger seat!:D

I don't worry about strangers.......since my mother told me not to talk to

them:D wife will talk to anyone........me.......not so much.:D:)

Brad.........watch out! 60 is just around the bend!:D Actually I was quite

pleased to get the senior discount at the movies on my birthday......it was

short lived since it still cost me $30 as I took the daughter & bought goodies.

Lets hope the Yankees make something happen this year......I need a new

Jersey!:D

Eyesight! Now thats a key issue......are they making all the print in books

and magazines that much smaller or is it me again?

I find I now need bright light, eyeglasses, a really good squint......and a

magnifing glass just to read the titles!

I just passed along a coin collection to the daughter and spent a bit of time

looking up current values and using condition guides.......so the additional

information will probably cause me to forget my phone number and wife's

name!

John,

They looked great this weekend; I was impressed. Wouldn't it be great if we could get a Yankees Dodgers World Series. Haven't had one of those in a real long time.

Gee. I must be one of the older members here at 60 too ahh I mean 62:D
