As a retired engineer I am by default a rivet counter. I am sensitive to the scale and accuracy of the Armor I purchase. I have built plastic scale models from 1/72 to 1/16 since childhood. I currently collect Armor in many scales and materials; from die-cast metal to Polystone. Were scale accuracy unimportant it would be silly to pay high prices for 1/30 scale Polystone tank model when a less expensive 1/35 scale Minichamps tank or a 1/32 scale Unimax tank would be close enough! When you pay more for a model to be in scale it should be in scale.

Recently Collectors Showcase, Figarti and King & Country have produced PK IV
tanks advertised to be 1/30 scale. Comparison photos indicate substantial size differences between the respective manufacturers models. The question is which manufacturers product is an accurate 1/30 scale? Regards

Anymore, most manufacturers do there "own thing".. some might be accurate 1/30, but they are all a little different in terms off bulkiness for the kinds of "bases" they come with.. You just sort of have to "experiment" a little with mix and matching..

If you want true consistency, stick with 1/35 scale kits..
However, some European kits say "54MM", but they are actually 1/35 scale..
I guess you truly can't win
