Hi
I am new to collecting and wondered if someone could advise me on the following, i have britains light brigade cavalry sets 3109,3110,3111,3112,3113 i noticed they did a set 5197 which contained 1 of each cavalry a cannon and some russian artillery figures. My question is will my sets be compatible with the crimean vc ranges of figures or are these larger in scale, they look more detailed than my sets and they do a set 43062 russian horse artillery i wondering if this set would go well with mine or will i need to go with the 5197 set to get the artillery piece and figures.

Hi There,

I have some of the sets you mentioned and I also have most of the newer sets and while the newer sets sculpting is far better than the old I still use them all together in my displays. I also mix in some Frontline figures in glossy as well. Scale wise I think they are pretty close but the older sets have smaller horses compared to the new ones but that's not too big of a deal to me because horses like people are all shapes and sizes.

I do the same. If you put the big uns out front and the little uns in back it gives you a forced perspective ( or at least that is what I tell folks).
