I bought this great looking figure from Art Girona. The head, although beautiful, had always looked small to me. Hence I added some putty to the cheeks and rebuilt the ears and hair.

The Scythians had always been known to be great warriors on horseback - what more the king? So I've decided to redo the figure as a mounted piece.

This base is planned for this figure. I built up the groundwork with wall putty to simulate pieces of cork sections which I had cut out and pasted to the base.

I took out this piece to see about moving it forward. Also changed the horse's pose.

Hi Jason.

thx for looking. No progress on this. Far too many projects started. I do these pieces in between my more ambitious 3D shadow boxes and I have already planned to do a few more soon….

Nice base Victor. Should look more impressive with the Scythian King and horse attached.
The Scythians are a rich field for the figure modeler. I enjoy reading their history or even historical fiction based on their existence.
