Maybe this should go under trivia except I don't know the answer:confused:
Years ago we had John Steed and Mrs Peale, the secret agent man, Our man Flint, The Man from UNCLE, and probably best of all James Bond. Bond's classic weapon was the Walther PPk. I seem to remember another secret agent about the same time whose favorite weapon was a broomhandle mauser that he carried in the small of his back. Not a stealthy weapon to carry concealed certainly. Does anyone remember this agent or movie/tv show that he starred in?? I realize this is going back quite a bit in time for some of the forum members.

Are you referring to the Patrick McGoohan series, Secret Agent, one of the best series, only outdone by LeCarre's George Smiley.

Excellent series by an excellent actor, who went on to do the ground breaking cerebral series "The Prisoner". He was a very nice person as well, I actually had the pleasure of meeting when I was young. Sadly he died last January.

No it wasn't Secret Agent. As I recall, this was around the mid sixties

Shows what I know  I guess you learn something new every day :)

Yeah. Charles Vine in "License to Kill" or "The second best secret agent in the whole world" in 1965. Glad I'm not crazy. Wonder if Net flix has it:)

Tried finding it on NetFlix with no luck. Used to have a nice collection of C96s 35 years ago or so
