This is a tad off the wall but not, I hope, totally out of line in a "general topic" forum.
The key to my collecting over the years is that I am over-the-top compulsive - a boon to sellers but generally disconserting to my family. It has also become an issue in our attempts to downsize. I came to TF as it was recommended by King & Country as the best place to sell my 40+ K&C items. I have posted them in the "For Sale/Trade" forum and am pleased with the interest and results.
Reading the many posts here and on other TF threads it is obvious that most of you have other interests and collect other "things" and that you may be active on other sites than Toy Soldier Forum. Some years back I got interested in the solid mahogany airplanes made by Pacific Aircraft - interested to the point that I now have 60+ models boxed in the attic with both desk and wall mounts (again, a big shout out to my very patient wife). Though originaly about twice as expensive as my K&C items I doubt they hold their value as well or attract as dedicated a group of collectors. I would like to put them up for sale but cannot find a suitable venue; eBay's aircraft collectibles section is pretty much dominated by hobby stores using it as a showroom to sell new items at full price.
I don't know if this problem is unique to me or if all collectors run into it at some point. I would appreciate any suggestions anyone has.
And wait until I get to my trains . . . . .
Thank you for your time.
