Seeking Revolutionary War figurine (1 Viewer)

Can someone help me in my search? I have been trying for some time now to locate the Britians rev war figurine of Nathaniel Greene. I realize it is a hard to find item and chances are slim that anyone out there may have it. In searching the web for some on-line dealers I found a few who list the item only to discover that they recently sold it and haven't yet updated their website to reflect it being out of stock. Would anyone in the forum have any leads?

Hi,

I saw one recently on Ebay but dont know the dealer so you can search there. However if there is one to be had the folks at London Bridge Collectors will have one for a good price. Phone is 610-967-6887

Call them and I am bet they can help. They are near Philly and have a very extensive assortment of Britians available. I was able to get a set that has been retired for a while from them for a very good price!

Thanks for the tip. I called London Bridge but unfortunately he was sold out. I also tried ebay but I experienced the same problem I always seem to experience. That is, being new to this hobby, I appear to not be using the proper words when I search on ebay and thus can't find any figurines. I type in what I think would bring me to a Britians metal toy soldier listing, but I have yet to find any Britians stuff or any other manufacturer for that matter. What am I doing wrong? Is there a particular way/word usage that I need to use so that I can find this stuff on ebay? Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi Mark,

Go to the section in ebay marked as Toys & Hobbies then click on Toy Soldiers and start your search there. You should be able to find the Britains stuff there and there is a ton of it.

Thanks Dave. I followed your instructions and was able to access the whole slew of Britains items on ebay. I didn't find the Nathaniel Greene piece I want, but there was a great selection of other things. I'll be placing some bids on a few items later today.

By the way, are you from Washington state or DC? Just curious.

Regarding the offer to get me in touch with your friend who may have some retired K & C rev war stuff, thanks but I am collecting only Britians right now. You don't know how hard it is for me to say that, as I've seen the K & C stuff and it is great. With budget restraints and all I have to pass on K&C, even though it is really tempting to add them to my collection. I'll keep your offer in mind should things change down the road.
